Leichhardt St Dental Practice takes the health and safety of our patients and staff very seriously. The Dental Board of Australia has now ruled all dental practices are restricted to limited emergency treatment only.
From 1st April we have closed and hope to re-open 1st June. We are however available for limited emergency treatment by appointment.
If you are an existing patient of our practice, please contact us via our contact form , call / text Dr Barbara Szylkarski via her mobile or the practice answering machine, even if it is a quick question, chat or for some serious help.
We look forward to seeing you all again soon once this disruption is over, take care.
The issue of sugary drinks has received an enormous amount of publicity, particularly relating to the health risks caused by excess consumption. These not only include tooth decay but also obesity and type 2 diabetes, a problem in children and adolescents as well as adult.
There are some extremely interesting facts now available on the website www.rethinksugarydrink.org.au
The statistics offer a very sobering picture of the state of our sugar consumption. Remember to think twice before grabbing that soft drink or vitamin water. Think water, milk or unsweetened drinks. The website also has a great resource to help you cut back. So get started today.
